Core services

Education is at the heart of every service offered. These services include the following workshops:

• Financial literacy 
• Career/job development
• Leadership development
• Tax preparation and Outreach
• Entrepreneurship

Key accomplishments:

• 2008 Houston A+ Challenge Externship Program
• Outreach and volunteer for free tax preparation services in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
• Established an after-school program for the 2005-2006 school year at Southwest High School
• Executed a financial literacy event for the community at Westbury High School, creating a pilot after-school program on March 6, 2006
• Brought the program to Forester Elementary School, providing financial literacy workshops for parents
• Conducted workshops at Alief ISD, Aldine ISD
• Partnered in the 1st Annual Housing and Employment Resources Expo for People with Disabilities on September 22, 2007 http://www.houstontx.gov/disabilities/
• Volunteer coordination for the Houston Hispanic Forum Career and Education Day 2008.
• Completed business plan training workshops for people with disabilities for February 2008.
